CrossCheckr Blog - Christian web 2.0 startup blog
Add a CrossCheckr Button to your Blog
4 June 2007You can add a crosscheckr button to your blog, so that users can easily submit and vote for your content.
If you include it in a part of your website that repeats, such as a blog template, then you only need place the code on one page.
To find the code, use your browser, and VIEW PAGE SOURCE, and it should look some like the following but with beginning and ending tags. You should make sure to use the end script as well.
script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://crosscheckr.com/evb/check_url.js.php”

Test the Bookmarklet
8 May 2007Greetings;
1. We are continuing to test the donations module. So if any of you could send us any amount between 0.01 and 1.00 via paypal, it will be refunded within the day.
2. There is a REALLY easy way to submit items. When you are logged in, go to the PROFILE tab. At the bottom of the profile section are instructions, about the bookmarklet. Drag that item to your Favourites toolbar. whenever you are visiting a page, that you’d like to submit, all you have to do is click that link in your toolbar, and the Bookmarklet will pop up a submission page that will be pre-filled with that pages info.
3. We are looking at increasing the number of users dramatically. QUESTION: Do you personally prefer,
A) a referral fee for friends - $1-$2 or
B) a draw for a larger valued item such as an iPod based upon posts and comments on CrossCheckr?
C) payment for posting or voting during a launch period. Please include realistic amount you’d expect.
thanks for your continued involvement.

Beta Stage Two
10 April 2007Greetings site testers, I have three task for those who are willing.
- Please Go to the main page and click on the Unpublished Tab. Please vote for 2 or 3 items.
You will notice that after voting and then refreshing the page, that they should be moved to the main page. - If you have some time, please submit a story by clicking on the Submit a New Story. You can submit a favorite video, podcast episode, blog posts, or single pages. Don’t just think of websites, but of individual stories, pages or items within sites. Basically, just answer the question “What’s your favourite Christian content on the internet, today?” You can submit your own pages or content, if you’d like to promote that. No limit on that.
- Please send your comments about our logo, concept, and layout design to beta@crosscheckr.com
We’re almost ready to have you start inviting folks to the site, but we’ll be putting some tools first.
